The original workflow
VMT helped define what a virtual pre-move survey workflow should be for moving companies.
VMT was built from real moving-industry experience: the daily pressure of surveys, estimates, cube sheets, shippers, coordinators, and operations teams.
Original workflow
The value of VMT is not just video. The value is the workflow behind the survey: scheduling, shipper communication, inventory capture, cartons, notes, QA, cube sheets, integrations, and operational support.

Use VMT as a managed service, let your team run surveys through the platform, or use VMT AI to process survey media.
VMT carries 150 years of moving experience into a modern survey workflow built for real moving operations.
Proof point
VMT is built on deep moving-industry knowledge from people who understand surveys, cube sheets, shippers, and operational pressure.
A brief history of how moving experience, survey work, and technology became the VMT workflow.
MOVING ROOTS
The VMT story begins with real moving work: crews, shippers, estimates, trucks, household goods, and the pressure of getting every move right.

Service community
VMT supports remote work opportunities for military spouses and is proud to partner with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a nonprofit supporting military veterans, first responders, and their families.
For VMT, support is not only part of the product. It is part of how the company thinks about people, work, and responsibility.
ORIGIN
Before VMT became the platform it is today, there was VMT000001: the first survey record, completed on August 19, 2015.
No legend needed. This is simply where the workflow began.
VMT performs pre-move surveys on behalf of moving companies. We represent the mover, gather the information needed for a cube sheet, and return reviewed survey output that helps the moving company prepare for the shipper's relocation.
Our goal is to provide precise pre-move surveys because the moving company's planning, labor, packing, and resource decisions depend on the accuracy of the cube sheet. Accurate survey results make the moving process easier for both the mover and the shipper.
A VMT survey is not just a call. It is a coordinated workflow across scheduling, live surveying, cubing, and review.
Coordinates survey appointments, supports shippers, and keeps communication moving between the mover and the customer.
Works with the shipper to identify items, services, access conditions, and move details so the survey record is useful for estimating and planning.
Checks survey output, corrects issues, confirms carton counts, reviews weight and volume context, and prepares final results for the moving company.
Family business
VMT carries the practical pace of a family business: direct communication, operational accountability, and a mover-first view of what survey teams need.
